Ms. Walls is a human resources professional with more than a decade of experience and expertise in employee relations. Currently, she serves as the director of Nexenta Systems, Inc., an innovative software company that specializes in open-source enterprise storage software. As a member of the executive team, Ms. Walls manages human resources for this start-up organization, including designing the employee handbook, the performance management system and the review process.

She is also tasked with establishment of foreign subsidiaries, executive coaching, immigration and legal matters, managing employee recognition and referral systems, as well as overseeing international and domestic payroll, employee benefits and any daily employee issues that arise. Prior to joining Nexenta Systems, Ms. Walls worked for small start-ups and spent nearly a decade at Applied Materials in various human resource positions.

In recognition of her excellence in human resources, Ms. Walls was recently named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success. Ms. Walls discovered her love for human resources upon taking an entry-level position in the field; she went on to pursue a degree in organizational development. Today, she holds a master's degree in Organization Management from the University of Phoenix, and numerous certificates from Cornell including Proactive and Executive Leadership.
