At 24 years old, Mr. Melrose is clearly a product of the digital age. He owns a smartphone, which he uses to help organize his life and which he now credits for his latest business venture. Blessed with an entrepreneurial mind, he noted how frequently his iPhone "went off" after he linked his e-mail to it and saw an opportunity to capitalize on the ubiquity of social media. In 2010, he launched WebTogether, an online social networking and marketing company that helps businesses promote their products and assists users in sorting their teeming inboxes.

As the CEO, Mr. Melrose utilizes creative problem-solving to manage his company's operations. He is in charge of coding and developing the website, positioning it for marketing purposes, and dealing with vendors and clients. He focuses his efforts on linking small businesses with consumers in a social networking atmosphere and encouraging users to talk about new companies and events. Proud to be running a green organization that exists entirely online, Mr. Melrose attributes his early successes to his upbringing and strong work ethic. He also gives a nod to his role models, including an uncle who went on to play professional hockey after sustaining what was adjudged to be a career-ending knee injury. His uncle's resilience had taught him that he can also achieve anything he puts his mind to.
