Thomas Verdun celebrates 35 years of professional experience
MANASSAS, VA, July 21, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Thomas Verdun Jr., Information Systems Security Officer, Internal PCI Data Security Standard Auditor for the United States Postal Service, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in information security.
Drawing upon 35 years of professional experience, Mr. Verdun has honed his skills in collaboration, analysis and creative problem-solving. He currently works for the United States Postal Service as an information systems security officer and internal PCI DSS auditor, a post that he has held for the past 12 years. He primarily performs certification and accreditation processes that entail preparing and reviewing business impact assessments, security plans, risk assessments, business continuity and contingency plans, security test plans, evaluations, and standard operating procedures. Demonstrating a proven ability to multitask, Mr. Verdun also provides consultations, training opportunities, and conflict resolution schemes for disputes between customers and managers. Prior to attaining his current position, he served in the military as a SFC/E7 promoter.
Currently pursuing a master's degree, Mr. Verdun holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Alaska. Mr. Verdun is certified as a Federal IT Security Professional with the certification role of auditor. An active member of his local church, he is a supporter of the New Birth Community Center.
