Riptide Selected to Develop the US Army's Instrumented Ranges/Digital Range Training System
Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by The U.S. Army along with prime Lockheed Martin, Global Training & Logistics division to develop the US Army's Digital Range Training System.
OVIDEO, FL, April 17, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Riptide Software, Inc. announced today that it has been selected by The U.S. Army Program Executive Office Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) along with prime Lockheed Martin, Global Training & Logistics division to develop the US Army's Digital Range Training System (IR/DRTS). The total amount of the IR/DRTS contract is $450 million.
The IR/DRTS is for numerous live training requirements for the study, design, development, testing, qualification, production, integration, training, fielding and support of digital training ranges related instrumentation with includes tracked, wheeled, dismounted, aerial instrumentation and integration into existing/future instrumentation systems and ranges. The IR/DRTS Program is comprised of the following range types: Digital Multi-Purpose Range Complex (DMPRC), Digital Multi-Purpose Training Ranges (DMPTR), Battle Area Complex (BAX) and Digital Air/Ground Integration Range (DAGIR).
